- in enforcement matters brought by the State Corporation Commission or other regulatory agencies/bodies;
- in the negotiation and drafting of contracts;
- in the sale and/or acquisition of regulated companies;
- drafting tariffs;
- obtaining certificates of public convenience and necessity;
- in matters involving local government and municipalities;
- by providing general advice pertaining to development, finance, production, operation, transmission, and interconnection;
- in litigation matters;
- in legislative and public policy analysis and lobbying before the Virginia General Assembly, as well as interpretation of statutes;
- in industry groups and political associations.
