John M. Ramey, III

J.M. Ramey is a shareholder and member of the firm’s Business Section and Real Estate Securities Practice Group. His practice is focused primarily in real estate taxation and real estate securities transactions. J.M. is particularly experienced in the area of Section 1031 and in private placements of real estate investments. In 2005, J.M. assisted clients in raising in excess of $600,000,000 of equity through private placements of real estate securities. In addition, J.M. assists clients in structuring legal entities for real estate, tax and a variety of other business transactions and advises clients on a wide variety of other real estate, corporate and partnership tax issues. J.M. has clients throughout the United States and also is a regular writer, lecturer and panelist for real estate publications, educational seminars and at real estate conferences nationwide.
